The most convenient way to reach Ziro Valley is to take a train to either North Lakhimpur or Naharalagun and from there hire a taxi to Ziro.
By Air : Jorhat is the nearest Airport from Ziro, which is 98 kms away from Assam. Another airport is at Lilabari, which is at a distance of 123 kms from Ziro. However Guwahati is the closest International Airport approximately 450 kms from Ziro.
By Rail and Road : Naharalagun (100 kms) and North Lakhimpur (117 kms) are the two nearest Railway Stations. You can also get night bus services from Guwahati to Ziro operated by the Arunachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Alternatively, one can travel to North Lakhimpur or Itanagar and take a shared taxi to Ziro from there.
