Embark on the journey to one of the most beautiful valleys in the country also recognized as a world heritage site – Ziro is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh, with layered rice fields and impossibly blue skies, surrounded by a ring of deep green forests and the towering jagged Eastern Himalayan range in the distance. The popular tourist spots include Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary spread across 300 sq km of area is a leading attraction of the region home to various endangered species, a must visit temple is the Meghna Cave Temple which dates back to 5000 years ago, Kile Pakho offers wonderful views of snow clad mountains around 7 kms from Ziro, Pine Groove completely covered with pine is 3 kms away from Ziro, Bamboo Groove popular for one stem bamboo, etc.

The most convenient way to reach Ziro Valley is to take a train to either North Lakhimpur or Naharalagun and from there hire a taxi to Ziro.

To Reach

By Air : Jorhat is the nearest Airport from Ziro, which is 98 kms away from Assam. Another airport is at Lilabari, which is at a distance of 123 kms from Ziro. However Guwahati is the closest International Airport approximately 450 kms from Ziro.

By Rail and Road : Naharalagun (100 kms) and North Lakhimpur (117 kms) are the two nearest Railway Stations. You can also get night bus services from Guwahati to Ziro operated by the Arunachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Alternatively, one can travel to North Lakhimpur or Itanagar and take a shared taxi to Ziro from there.
