In Lucknow, Indian Railways is updating ten stations as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This initiative includes sustainable methods, improved amenities, and accessibility features. For fiscal year 2024-2025, the state has allocated ?5,930 crores to five railway zones: Northern Railway, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, and West Central Railway. These funds will go toward infrastructure development, maintenance, and improvement activities that will improve the overall station experience and passenger amenities.
