The Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Ubud, Bali, is renowned for its lush foliage and the 8th-century Balinese irrigation system known as “subak”. It remains one of popular tourist attractions in Bali, especially during March, August, and September, the greenest months of the year. The terrace offers astounding views and opportunities for exploration, with a recommended visit time of 1 to 1.5 hours. To avoid heat and crowd, it is suggested to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Shops and cafés are nearby, but long stays should be accompanied by water and food.

The Ceking terrace in Tegalalang is a quick 15-minute drive north from Ubud town centre. Walking is also an option, although the trek takes two hours.
