Rudrapur:
The Terai Central Forest Division has increased preparations to develop a forest safari in order to boost tourism and create jobs in the area. The planned safari will link well-known sights such as the reservoir, Gularbhoj, and Corbett National Park to the lush Terai forest.
Gadarpur MLA and representatives from the irrigation and forest authorities recently reviewed the planned safari route. The path was plotted using satellite images. The irrigation department's executive engineer, MLA, and DFO, UC , were among the key figures who attended a meeting at the Baur reservoir to discuss the project.
MLA stated that they are aiming to make Baur Reservior a prominent tourism destination worldwide. The forest safari would begin in Baur Reservior and travel through Gadappu Nihal Chowki, Lambachaur, Haldwani, Pipalparao, Kaladhungi, and Bhakra, providing guests with easy access to some of the area's most attractive and biodiverse locations.
According to him, the safari route's satellite mapping is complete and should be available by February. Visitors will be able to discover the Terai forests' unique biodiversity, which includes migrating birds, wildlife, and other bird species.
In addition to the forest safari, tourists can enhance their experience by boating at Baur Reservoir.
According to MLA The jungle safari will provide the area with adventure and employment opportunities. Road repairs and route checks have already been completed, and we expect to begin the safari as planned,
