Khecheopalri Lake is located 34 kilometres to the northwest of Pelling town in Sikkim, around 147 kilometers from the main town and the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok. An emerging tourist destination considered as a sacred site of pilgrimage by the Buddhists. The beautiful Khecheopalri lake is also believed by the locals as a wish fulfilling lake, making it more interesting for holidaymakers to visit. At the entrance of the lake you will find a monastery with forests on all sides. Khecheopalri Lake in Pelling is a unique blend of nature and mystic beauty, worth visiting and experiencing. It takes around one and half hour to reach the lake by a hired or shared taxi from Pelling. You can also witness the beautiful Mt. Kanchenjunga with small villages scattered all around the lake.
