Industry demands of the growing medical in India union budget pinned hopes on 2025 :

The medical value travel in India was estimated over 87 thousand crores in India in 2024 and India ranked amongst top 10 medical tourism globally. They believe that the coming budget will strengthen by easing the visa regime and offering tax exemptions to overseas patients, more while, the country needs to improve the health facilities towards increasing visitor arrival, the budget should also relieve pressure on the health management. 

Where genetic disorders of the fetes can be identified, allowing for preventive measures and helping make critical additions to infrastructure, especially in tier two and tier three cities, besides strengthening primary care through expanded public health centers and expansion of medical education to address the shortage of medical professionals. Report recently concluded that there was a 80 percent shortage in the rural specialist doctors.

Another recommendation aimed at the improvement of investment in facilities, equipment and training is to grant long term credit instead of the present term credit of seven to eight years and bearing comparatively lower interest rates. Minister of finance is expected to present Budget 2025 on 1st February 2025. Prior to the union Budget 2025, it is the hope of industry stake holder to see changes that would transform the healthcare system. Yet to be presented Union Budget the sector desperately needs to be geared to enhance India's position on the medical tourism map of the world. Reduction of visa formalities giving tax exemptions to the patients and increasing investment on infrastructure would only add to this position as India is moving forward in making medical tourism as one of best destination for the medical tourists. 

Overdue need to provide universal health care is finally addressed either through additional healthcare or through establishment of an endowment fund the income of which can be used to finance the health requirements of the people. In education, there is necessity to generally introduce voucher system which can assist children of the rural areas to get high quality knowledge what will cause increase of employment capability and entrepreneurial capacity among graduates.
